Born in Lagos. Raised Across Continents. Building a Movement.
After 206,000 miles of carpools and two decades of intensive motherhood, I thought I was prepared when my daughter left for college at 17.
I wasn’t.
What followed was a decade-long journey from identity crisis to influence, from invisible to unstoppable. I moved from Maryland to Houston to Maryland again, traveled solo to 15+ countries, and discovered that the empty nest isn’t an ending—it’s the beginning of your most powerful chapter.
When my daughter left, I realized I'd forgotten my name was Ronnie. "Mom" had consumed my entire identity. I stood in my driveway chasing garbage trucks, set the table for people who didn't live there anymore, and wondered who I was when nobody needed me.
I spent two years in Houston apartments, meeting other women navigating the same crisis. I developed the THRIVE Method™ through trial, error, and transformation. I learned that control masquerades as love, that letting go is sacred work, and that faith looks different when you pray from a distance.
Today, I lead Third Act Society—a global movement refusing to let women become invisible when society expects us to disappear. Through speaking, writing, and coaching, I equip women to reclaim their voices and step into the authority they've earned.
Over two decades in organizational development and risk management, helping organizations navigate major transitions—skills that proved invaluable when navigating my own life transformation.
